Personal coaching: only for managers?

What further training do employees want?

A total of 1,018 employees in Germany were surveyed as part of the representative study "Value of further training" (client: Haufe Akademie).

The core message of the study is that employees are open to and motivated by the topic of further training. A total of 78% of those surveyed are willing to keep learning new things and invest in their own personal development.

However, it is striking that employees' wishes for further training are largely not being fulfilled: Although traditional formats such as seminars and conferences are still very popular, 8 out of 10 employees would also like individual coaching. But their bosses are not following suit: Only 21% of the employees surveyed are given the opportunity for personal coaching by their employer - although a full 79% would like this. This means that employers could be wasting a great deal of development potential.

According to the study, employers should analyze the benefits that personal coaching of employees can bring to the company. And what reasons prevent them from giving their employees this opportunity. And further training opportunities are not an important factor in the Choice of employer represent.
