CS on everyone's lips - what does this mean for people 50+?

Everyone is talking about CS, but what does this mean for people aged 50+?

UBS recently took over Credit Suisse. This makes UBS one of the 25 largest banks in the world, which also means that jobs will have to be cut as part of the merger: It simply does not always make sense to fill certain positions twice.

A wide variety of people in different age groups will be affected by the job cuts. It will be particularly difficult for people aged 50+, for whom it is already more difficult to find a new job.

Unfortunately, companies still often tend to get rid of the "more expensive, older" employees first when it comes to cost-cutting measures.

Many studies now show that mixed-generation teams, for example, offer great added value in terms of collaboration, creation and productivity.

In our experience, companies should newplace think more in such perspectives: see the experience, know-how and capacities of older employees as an opportunity and reactivate older employees!
