According to the Zehnder study, diversity is the most important criterion for millennials when choosing an employer. The topics of gender equality and cultural diversity are increasingly influencing socio-political discourse around the world. And are therefore also gaining in importance in the Working world significantly in importance.

A total of 2,500 managers from seven countries took part in the global study conducted by Swiss HR consultancy Egon Zehnder. It shows that the importance of diversity in corporate culture is perceived very differently by different generations:

Around two thirds of the millennials surveyed (born in the 1980s and 90s) named diversity as the most important criterion when choosing an employer. This compares to only 51 % of baby boomers who are retiring from the workforce.
