What are the effects of digitalization on the professional world?<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

New technologies have always changed the way we work and the professional world, and digitalization is no exception. A big question here is how far-reaching this change will be and which occupational groups could be particularly affected?<\/p>\n

In its study, Deloitte analyzed the effects for various occupational groups and professions up to the year 2035 and identified the following trends:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Trend 1: The jobs of the future require interaction with other people and empathy and can only be automated to a limited extent.<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

65% of working time cannot be replaced by technology. Many of the non-replaceable activities are characterized by a high degree of human interaction and empathy. They are also likely to be in greater demand in the future.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Trend 2: The growth in jobs of the future is likely to more than compensate for job losses.<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The number of jobs that are less automatable and more in demand (and are therefore jobs of the future) is growing faster than the number of jobs that are being eliminated by automation. In net terms, this means an increase of 1.3 million jobs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Trend 3: The increase in jobs is primarily taking place in the healthcare sector, as well as in education and management professions.<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The high demand and low substitutability of activities in the healthcare sector explain why the healthcare sector is expected to see the greatest growth. The study forecasts growth of +26% in the healthcare sector by 2035. In the education sector, growth of 20%. In the area of business management and organization, growth of 9% is expected.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Trend 4: Robotics and data analytics are the key technologies with the greatest impact on the digitalization of the professional world.<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Robotics and data analytics are the technologies with the greatest impact on the working world of tomorrow and are driving automation. Of the total 35% of working time that can be replaced by technology, robotics accounts for almost half. Data analytics accounts for slightly less than a quarter.<\/p>\n

In general, it can be said that robotics will primarily influence professions in which manual routine activities dominate. Data analytics, on the other hand, has more of a complementary effect and can take over certain activities from professions that are fundamentally more difficult to replace.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Digitization will primarily affect routine activities that follow the same patterns. The jobs of the future, on the other hand, will be knowledge-intensive and require specialization, creativity and analytical skills.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The automation potential of digital technologies will be overcompensated. Ultimately, more jobs will be created than will be lost through automation.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, there will be major structural shifts on the labour market - with more professional specialization and an increased importance of interaction.<\/p>\n

In general, the expected impact of automation will depend on the respective profession, industry and skills.<\/p>\n
