Things are looking up. The Swiss economy, and with it the job market, is visibly recovering from the coronavirus crisis. The number of job advertisements has risen by 28% compared to the same quarter last year, according to the latest surveys by employment agency Adecco and the University of Zurich.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

A particularly large number of specialists are currently being sought in the IT sector. Programmers, webmasters, systems engineers and IT project managers are in demand. One reason for this is certainly the digitalization push in many companies during the pandemic.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Those who work in retail or sales have a good chance of finding a job. The index shows an increase of 38 percent here. Personnel and organizational specialists as well as middle and upper management are also in high demand again. Almost 40 percent more jobs were advertised here compared to the previous year. Office and administrative jobs are also increasingly in demand. A positive trend compared to the previous year. Nevertheless, it should be noted that the number of job advertisements - in retail and administration - is not yet at the level it was before the coronavirus crisis.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Slow recovery in the hospitality industry<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The industrial and transportation sector is also on the upswing. Compared to the same quarter last year, 33 percent more jobs were advertised. This means that specialists in this sector are in greater demand than shortly before the first shutdown. The construction industry, technical professions and professions in the natural sciences are also back to pre-corona levels.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Things remain difficult in the hospitality industry. The pre-corona level is a long way off here. Although more jobs are being advertised here too, things are only picking up slowly. These companies are now hoping above all for summer and vacation business.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
